Cold, windy, and cloudy. Those are three of the most accurate verbs to describe Rebecca and Greg’s engagement session at Trexler Park a few weeks ago. But that did not stop these two from following the engagement session style guide (yes ladies, I ask you to wear a dress even in the middle of winter)! And not only were their outfits on point, but they did every ridiculous thing I asked them to with huge smiles on their faces! They also brought some really meaningful props, and we even had an unexpected guest. Clyde, the duck, wanted to be a part of their engagement session. Through it all, these two were champs! For those of you who have endured a session with me, my favorite expression is “feels weird, looks great!”
A few months ago, Greg reached out, verbalizing that he was going to propose to Rebecca over the holidays and was interested in scheduling a time for engagement photos. Of course I was ecstatic! The worst part about receiving those sort of inquiries is keeping it a secret! But I was able to keep my mouth shut, and it was so worth it when a few days before Christmas, Greg proposed to Rebecca! A week later, I did their engagement session at Trexler Park. I had previously done portrait session for them at the same location-go and check out the blog post!
Engagement sessions are my favorite. Not only does it allow me to be creative and have the time to try out different things, it allows me to bond with the couple in a special way. But doing an engagement session for friends is even more amazing! I have had the pleasure of going to the same church as Greg and than meeting Rebecca in college. Their love for God and others has always been so admirable to me. You two are a power couple, and can’t wait to see how God is going to continue to use you both! Greg is an engineer and Rebecca is finishing up med school. Let me just say, I hope that when I have kids, I can take them to go see Dr. Rebecca, the pediatrician. Anyway, enjoy some of my favorites from Rebecca and Greg’s magical engagement session!
